Yes, Russia doesn't have a justified "side" for invading, but that doesn't mean that the West isn't the catalyst in a global mixture of high income inequality and political apathy.
If this were not the case my family and friends would have some interest in a war we pay for with our tax dollars. Sudan is another case in point. The Sudanese don't manufacture weapons so they can only fight with the ones we gave them.
Apathy, apathy, apathy, in every part of life. That's what defines us. So when Putin and his regime feel old and ignored and disrespected they send the poor to fight while everyone looks on. We send weapons that were sitting in our warehouses headed for the scrap heap.
Then, oddly, Putin serves to remove a bit of our apathy by giving us something to believe in. Putin is EVIL. Ukraine is GOOD. But we really don't care about all the killing. Hey, we have things to do. Get gas from the U.S. and Middle East. Screw EVIL.
So my question is, why don't people see OUR side of the story, our complicity in funding a war born of hopelessness and insecurity?
