Yes, the difference in pay between Americans and Indians say, is more a factor of geo-economics. However, I believe this new technology will be do more to equalize rates for all developers, no matter where they live.

As I mentioned in the comment above, I believe it will remove a lot of the people who really don't have a passion for the work.
