Yes, there are less cars being produced. But does that mean there aren't enough cars? The more ominous question is who can afford a car and who can't. It's odd that some comments suggest that the shortage will lead to more public transportation. Maybe. But it will only serve the poor. There will be no middle class. Only the rich will be able to afford cars. We've been there before. Didn't work out well.
