The kind of shoplifting that is shuttering stores is organized by criminal gangs. Stolen goods must be fenced and that is simply beyond attention span of young people--especially the kind who will do that kind of thing. Most videos I see of shoplifting are of blacks. So everyone gets to nourish their inner racist.

Both Republicans and Democrats feed the income inequality machine. For most people, who aren't wealthy, the simple decision they make when picking politicians is, "Do I want to be lied to my face (Republicans) or behind my back (Democrats)?"

The biggest culprit here is the gutting of public schools. Charter schools further separate kids into those who have opportunity and those who join criminal gangs.
