You had me scared for a minute that you were arguing the truth of the title. I live in Cambridge, MA, home to MIT and Harvard. They're resurfacing the track and field at Danehy park. Was it that bad? No question about the cost in CO2 to do it.
They fenced it off. Then gas-powered mowers came to move a lawn that won't grow (coming cold weather) and construction machinery (oil operated too) will be running over. Why? The lawn company has a contract and no one is thinking, "let's pay them, but tell them not to do the work that is only killing the planet".
It's the same all over Cambridge. Gas powered mowers, weed whackers, leaf blowers. Super sized Rivians with one person hauling around 3.5 tons of metal and battery!
TALK, TALK, TALK. I see no real action on anything climate/resource related. Quite the opposite!!!
