Your country just signed up for submarines capable of carrying nuclear bombs. Do you believe they'd prevent China or anyone from attacking Australia? Does having nuclear weapons give you the option to invade anywhere you want and take whatever your conventional weapons can hold onto?

Is that your position? That's what it seems to be. If so, expect a lot more invasions soon.

Do we control Pakistan or India? Or Israel and Iran (I beleive they have a bomb). Or the UK and Russia? I get what you're trying to say but you're so shrill your argument becomes nothing but hysterics.

The problem is how is a nuclear equipped nation like Russia can be prevented from invading another country? So far, equpment and sanctions aren't working. My 2-cents is that unless NATO, or some other nation fights with Ukraine Russia will end up with half of Ukraine with little extra effort. Perhaps that's for the best.

I strongly suggest you read up on Europe pre World War II. There are so many similarities. For example, If the Nazis never went past Chekloslovakia and France there's a good chance they'd be part of autharitarian Germany today. We didn't care at the time. It's only because Churchill, the war mongerer, said all Britains would happily die before Germany runs the world. Maybe that was the wrong way to go. My point is, with Japan and Russia also joining the war, the war mongerers turned out to be right in their predictions.

There are no easy solutions. These are complex problems. You're so very smart. Please.
